We’re excited to kick off this week with the 4th edition of Adim Ink, the final edition of Season 0 - our newsletter features important updates about the Adimverse so you don’t miss a beat.
Let’s dive in!
Earlier this summer, we launched a creative prompt to invite Adim Members to submit character concepts for consideration and development within the Adimverse. Our community submitted over 120 responses which were peer reviewed by the Adim Creative Team. From that set, 16 submissions were selected and were put forth as our first official Adim Creative Proposal (ACP-1) for Adim Members to vote on.
Proposals are used to drive decisions about the direction of creative development and resource investment within the Adim Member community. Unlike more informal polling and voting across Discord and other tool sets, this serves as an official record of strategic decisions within the Adimverse and will serve as a key part of our governance structure as the community grows and evolves.
ACP-1 voting closed last week and top-voted characters will be partnered with Rob and other members of the Adim Creator Community in our rollouts for Round 2 of Creator Rooms.
Creator Room 1 was an experiment, and the learnings were invaluable. In this next round, we will be focused on integrating those learnings into the process and also expanding the members who can participate in the process and move on to spin off their own rooms in the future!
In the coming months we’re looking forward to showing you what’s been going on behind the scenes and under the hood of our creator room process. Stay tuned.
Medium Blog
NFTs have rapidly permeated through mainstream culture and are impacting a myriad of sectors including finance, art, sports, tech, and most relevant to Adim – storytelling. With any new innovation, concepts around what an NFT is and how they work are rather opaque and can be puzzling to understand.
Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. In our latest Medium Blog, we went over what an NFT is and why the underlying technology is quintessential to what we’re building at Adim.

Community Member Spotlight
This week Adim’s own Kyle Mazer sat down with a few of our Adim Members, David Zweig & Yvonne Liu, to highlight their stories as integral parts of our community.
“We’re all a collection of stories, a collection of characters, a collection of moments.” For no one is this quote truer than the man who said it himself: David Zweig. Now the Senior Creative Director at Warner Brothers Discovery, David has amassed many incredible moments in so many different areas, it’s almost hard to keep count. But with degrees in both design and animation, one mission in David’s work has always held true – using cutting edge technologies and communities to bring stories to life beyond the page.
In his time at XPRIZE, David spearheaded award-winning projects to encourage fans of mega-productions like Star Trek and Big Hero Six to reimagine their realities and bring their wildest sci-fi dreams to fruition. Always aiming to inspire, Zweig is constantly thinking of new ways to tell stories, and to use these stories to influence the world they’re told in, whether it be with his Google Lunar Project, or his founding of the Science Fiction Advisory Council. It’s this endless drive to mesh art and community that got David so enthused about Adim, and his work in Creator Room #1 couldn’t reflect that more – along with being a gifted writer, David extended his strengths as an animator to help our Art Director Will Groebe and the Art Department design and develop our characters, believing “everything can be designed, and the more you can draw and visualize, the more can be realized and the more you can do.”
Both inside and out of Adim, David hopes to continue using his devotion to craft and his understanding of its influence to inspire the next generation of thinkers and creators, knowing how powerful the right story can be in a person’s life at the right time. He loves a good experiment, is fearlessly looking to break the mold, and believes Adim can do just that. “We live in a world we create, so why not just f***in’ create more,” he told Kyle at the end of the interview. “Sorry,” he said, “I just get excited about these things.” We do too David, we do too.
There’s being a go-getter, and then there is being Yvonne Liu. Graduating from Columbia University with a degree in music, Yvonne had her sights set beyond an already impressive career as a violinist, and set out to Europe and Asia. Most people would’ve taken such a post-grad trip to refresh, relax, and tour around, but most people are not Yvonne – she spent her vacation organizing informational interviews with all different figures across the international marketing distribution space, eventually landing herself a job at Talent International in Beijing. That still wasn’t enough: barely out of college, Yvonne brought her boss this new American movie – you may have heard of it – called The Hunger Games, and earned herself the lead on the film’s entire Chinese marketing campaign.
But after building years of experience working with Jackie Chan and later for Warner Brothers in Beijing, Yvonne still had her larger aspirations, and came back to the U.S. to get an MBA from Penn Wharton, meshing her creative nature with a depth of business knowledge, specifically the intersection between venture capitalism, tech and non-traditional storytelling. Always a fan of start-up culture, she joined a small social media app called musical.ly which later morphed into – you may have heard of it – the cultural revelation that is TikTok. “I love shaping the future of an industry, the way content is created and consumed. It’s how I first got into web3, and eventually into Adim.”
These days, on top of being an avid Adim member, Yvonne works two nearly-full time jobs, one of which focuses on her family’s past and the other on entertainment’s future. In the mornings, as the business manager to her father, Liu Yong, Yvonne looks to cement the legacy of his work as a painter and an author, bringing his works and their cultural impact to a wide-reaching audience. Then at nights, she moves away from old mediums to consult at Jumpcut media, another web3 storytelling community hoping to elevate voices and share ideas. “What I love about Adim is that it functions like an orchestra,” she says, analogizing her old playing days. “The conductor empowers others to bring out their value as we work toward something together.” Other than finally finding time to relax, Yvonne hopes to keep using her experience, as well as her love for storytelling, both old and new, to help build bridges between often disparate cultures in China and the US.
